“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” This is the philosophy that twenty-six year old Zhané Padmore lives by. She is an entrepreneur, dancer, pageant queen and former national swimmer.

As a dancer, she started ballet at The Dance Place from the age of four having attained distinctions in the Royal Academy of Dancing Examinations up to Grade 8 level. She currently dances at various local events and festivals such as Crop Over and NIFCA, where she is now well versed in contemporary, modern, afro-Caribbean, jazz, urban and hip-hop genres. She can be seen performing with the dance collective, “Riddim Tribe”, and has backed artistes such as Nikita, Lil Rick, King Bubba, Skinny Fabulous, Rupee, Ricardo Drue, Voice, Arturo Tappin and his band among others. She has also been honoured to represent Barbados and the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc by performing on the Wendy Williams Show with Riddim Tribe, as well as the Barbados On The Water Festival in Toronto, Canada.

She was also one of the six dancers selected to represent Barbados with the Brooklyn Nets Dance Team, The Brooklynettes, at the Barclays Center in April last year.

Upon graduating from Harrison College, she pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, where she graduated with Honours in Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.  In 2016, she started her own business – Cultured by Zhané, a locally handmade accessory brand, where she is the creative director.

Zhané also has a love for pageantry as she holds the titles of Miss Easterval 2012, Miss Holetown Queen of the Festival for 2014, 1st runner up in Miss Caribbean Carnival Queen 2016 in St. Kitts and 1st runner up in the Miss World Barbados pageant 2018. When she is not competing, she finds time to mentor and train young persons in pageantry as she believes that there are important traits learned in pageantry that help to mold respectable youth into being leaders in society.
